The Connecting People study team held a very successful workshop at King’s College London on Friday 15th February.
The event brought together agencies participating in the pilot study and practitioners new to the model to share experiences and thoughts about practice. A summary of what happened and some pictures from the event can be found on the Connecting People study website.
A journalist from Community Care, Andy McNicoll, attended the workshop and wrote up his thoughts in a piece on the Community Care website. He captured perspectives from people familiar with the Connecting People intervention model and those new to it, providing a balanced overview of the potential of the model to reinvigorate the role of social work within mental health services.
